A  Heath & Co. 'Hezzanith' celestial Star Globe, totally complete and housed in an teak case.
This Star Globe is mounted in a brass meridian circle on steel pins,which represent the Polar axis. The circle is divided from 0-90 degrees in four quadrants, the zero being at the pins or poles. The meridian circle is held in the Azimuth ring by two slats in which it can be turned for setting the latitude.
The globe itself is in perfect original creamy-white condition.
Star Globes like this one are over 50 years old but the white globe itself is more modern because they are updated with every epoch. In this case the globe is made by Heath Navigation for the Admiralty.
The diameter of the globe is around 18.5cm diameter.
The case is 26 x 26.5 x 27 cm.
