Beautiful antique tobacco box or snuff box made in the period 1780-1830 in the Netherlands. It has been made of burlwood and the inside of the box has been covered with tin to protect its valuable contents. On the inside of the lid is a pen drawing of a typical Dutch scenery. There's a signature on the left-bottom, but unfortunately it's illegible.
The condition of the box is still very good, only the left side of the hinge looks a bit tired.
The dimensions of the box are around 13.5 x 5.5 x 4 cm. and the weight is 115 grams.
