They needed accurate timepieces to determine their positions at sea. The Hamilton company found a way to mass-produce their chronometers, who were untill that time only being hand-made.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe chronometer is in a very good condition, it is running very well. Unfortunately the service history is unknown. There's a sticker near the dial \"overhaul due apr 1971\".
