He had studied the anatomy of the animals extensively since his teen-years, so he was a master in sculpting every creature very true to nature. In 1875 he succeeded Antoine Louis Barye as professor at the Museum of Natural History in Paris. \u003cbr\u003eProbably his most famous work is the statue of Jeanne d'Arc at the Place des Pyramides in Paris. Nowadays his work is very sought-after by collectors worldwide.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe sculpture I'm presenting here is a cast by Charles More who casted many of Frémiets small animal sculptures.
