He started his business in 1840, in 1875 he was succeeded by Parent and later by L.Thomas in 1892. So the age of our instrument can easily be determined between 1875-1892.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe condition of our pantometer is good. It is in a complete original unpolished state. It has gained some patina during its lifetime and there is also a crack in a lense at the ocular side.
