It is a so-called gimbaled dry card compass. It has a rotating suspension ring around the compass so it could be installed in a box or casing in a way it would always remain level. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-size: 0.875rem;\"\u003eThere is a lead weight on bottom of the compass to keep it steady. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-size: 0.875rem;\"\u003eThe body of the compass is made of copper. The ring and the bezel around the glass are made of brass. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-size: 0.875rem;\"\u003eThe condition of the compass is good.
